If you are a CONTROLS TECHNICIAN professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SIDNEY, OHIO location, you will support controls development and problem solving related to the development of automated compressor test stands, HVACR systems, HVACR system components and provide detailed testing support for our Technical Services Laboratories. Assist and train technicians as needed. Effectively communicate status of project assignments to management, engineers, co-workers and use good judgement to handle risk and solve problems.As a Controls Technician You Will:Work with Systems Engineers in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical control systems for HVACR systems, compressors and component testing.

Assist with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of HVACR test systems.

Troubleshoot, test and assemble electro-mechanical testing assemblies and controls.

Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming controls and equipment.

Support the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance instrument / electrical systems.

Installing, calibrating, repairing and upgrading components of electronic devices and systems and control equipment

Test, installs and maintains supervisory control and data acquisition systems including input/output signal hardware, controllers, HMI's PLC's, networks, communications, databases and software.

Use control theory to create controllers that will cause systems to behave in a desired manner.

May use computer-aided design software to model proposed electro-mechanical to assess functionality, safety and reliability.

You are effective in a variety of communication settings, attentively listen to other and encourage the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Associate's degree in HVACR Controls or Electronics plus seven (7) years of experience in HVACR / Controls industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

HVACR systems and systems control knowledge.

Experience performing sophisticated problem solving of test equipment and HVACR system controls.

Must be proficient in reading wiring diagrams, both schematic and ladder.

Experience with data acquisitions setup, calibration and implementation.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills and Microsoft Office products experience.

Demonstrated ability leading numerous projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsExtensive HVACR systems and systems control knowledge.

PLC controls and programming knowledge

Experience with Yokogawa data acquisition hardware and software

Ability to design and fabricate special HVACR test setups and fixtures.

Advanced problem-solving skills.
