SCHEDULE: On-site, - Hybrid work schedule with flexible hours around core day shift business hours. 8 hour days can start as early as 6a or as late as 8a. Candidate must be in the office 2 days each week. Hybrid flexibility will start after weeks of training
Responsibilities
This candidate will ideally be in the Toledo area near their HQ, but the candidate can also work out of Columbus, Alliance, Midland Michigan, Portage Michigan or Troy Michigan.
Candidate will work as a part of a multi-disciplined engineering team including designers, project engineers, project managers, controls engineers, structural engineers etc.
Develop process flow diagrams for the material handling system. Determine equipment to be used and generate specifications for the purchase of the equipment Develop material handling project scope and cost estimates Direct the design of other engineers, designers and sub-contractors to support his/her effort. Coordinate with other disciplines leads on multi-discipline projects to drive the team to a successful project completion. Work closely with clients to understand and facilitate the design and construction of their process. Travel to client facilities for gathering of field data and project review meetings. Travel to client facilities and provide onsite technical help working with contractors.MUST HAVES:Prior experience engineering material handling systems for bulk raw materials Minimum of a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering is required Bachelors degree must be from an ABET accredited university (most engineers will know if their degree is ABET, most large schools such as Toledo, OSU, BGSU, etc. will have ABET accredited engineering degrees) Must have working knowledge of material handling or conveyor systems from an engineering capacity. Must have 8+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience AutoCAD 2d for plant layout NICE TO HAVES:PE, professional engineering license EIT Working knowledge of CAD (Revit or AutoCAD or equivalent) 10-15 years of process engineering About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
