Hyperspectral Image Scientist

• Independent verification and validation of hyperspectral algorithms and tools
• Developing hyperspectral detection algorithms
• Create hyperspectral signatures and manage signature libraries
• Perform radiometric and atmospheric correction on hyperspectral image data
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements; prepare supporting documentation
• Support hyperspectral analysis activities

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or comparable technical degree with additional technical hyperspectral experience will be considered
• 5+ years of experience working with overhead hyperspectral imaging data
• Demonstrated proficiency developing algorithms and tools in ENVI
• Experience working with hyperspectral signatures and libraries

• Experience with both scene-based and physics-based atmospheric correction techniques
• Knowledge of standard spectral imaging data formats
