Job Number: 819Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Hyperspectral Image Scientist supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. You will be working with a team of Riverside Research, government, and contractor personnel using Hyperspectral Imaging for scientific and technical intelligence reporting. The work is in support of both US Air Force and Intelligence Community programs. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Job Responsibilities:- Independent verification and validation of hyperspectral algorithms and tools
- Developing hyperspectral detection algorithms
- Create hyperspectral signatures and manage signature libraries
- Perform radiometric and atmospheric correction on hyperspectral image data
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements; prepare supporting documentation
- Support hyperspectral analysis activities
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or comparable technical degree with additional technical hyperspectral experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience working with overhead hyperspectral imaging data
- Demonstrated proficiency developing algorithms and tools in ENVI
- Experience working with hyperspectral signatures and libraries
- Experience with both scene-based and physics-based atmospheric correction techniques
- Knowledge of standard spectral imaging data formats
