Job Title: Instrumentation ElectricianJob DescriptionAs an Instrumentation Electrician, you will work on a Dupont Schedule of 4-3-3 Days/Nights rotating on 12-hour shifts (6a-6p/6p-6a) in Dover, OH. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.Responsibilities
Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems, including sensors, transmitters, and control equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair process control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Inspect, test, and maintain electrical circuits, wiring, motors, and power distribution systems.
Monitor and calibrate process instrumentation (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), and control loop drawings to diagnose and resolve issues.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on critical E&I equipment to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
Install and configure new instrumentation and automation systems to support plant upgrades or projects.
Ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E) when working with electrical equipment and hazardous processes.
Work with maintenance mechanics and electricians daily and assist with any projects and training as needed.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, control systems, and electrical systems in industrial environments.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLCs, SCADA systems, and VFDs.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
Experience with calibration tools and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, loop calibrators).
Understanding of industrial safety standards and regulations for hazardous environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex E&I issues.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent time management, documentation, and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in automation systems such as robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Skills in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Knowledge of pneumatics, wiring, electrical engineering, and diagnosis.
Proficiency in working with transmitters, sensors, switches, motors, and gearboxes.
