Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to keep track of goods and services and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. As the Inventory Clerk you will be signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. Are you a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills? Then this is the Inventory Clerk position for you.Responsibilities
Counting and classifying items
Entering data into the system
Collecting estimates and price details from vendors and then comparing costs
Catalog and stock products to manage inventory
Working closely with the purchasing manager and inventory analyst
Managing document discrepancies
Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records Requirements - 1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
Experience using inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Problem solving skills and high attention to detail
Possess broad knowledge of services and products offered by the company
Must have strong mathematical and analytical abilities
A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
