Looking for a Manager – IT Financial Services within the Information Technology department. The Manager is responsible for: managing the internal IT financial processes to ensure that IT demonstrates optimal control over its finances and is anticipating the financial impact of its decisions. Doing so in accordance with Corporate and IT policies, standards, and guidelines.Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounting Functions: leading the development of annual IT budget; gathering and consolidating a monthly financial forecast for the department reflecting current estimate of annual costs; managing the IT A/P function and ensuring all invoices are properly handled, processed on a timely basis, posted the correct GL, and accrued when necessary for each month.
- Manage IT Purchasing Functions: overseeing the purchasing of IT goods and service; ensuring purchases conform to IT established standards, policies and EAP guidelines; aggressively pricing commonly purchased items with multiple vendors ensuring we obtain lowest costs possible; evaluating pricing, delivery, and quality of our key vendors on a periodic basis.
- Manage Contract Management Process: maintaining current copies of all IT and IT sponsored contractual obligations; tracking expired dates, spending commitments and other contractual terms as appropriate; ensuring managers and SMEs are notified timely of upcoming contractual dates/renewals; lead or assist in contract negotiations, legal reviews, etc.
- Vendor Management: developing process by which vendors are evaluated and selected in accordance with company guidelines and best practices; managing the evaluation, selection, transition and monitoring of contractual agreements for vendors of IT functions; working with IT management to ensure vendor performance is monitored and reported on consistent with corporate guidelines.
- Manage Tracking of IT Hardware and Software Assets: ensuring we maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all hardware including distributed clients; maintaining records on all software license purchases and ensuring record keeping meets requirements of all internal, as well as external (software vendors), parties.
- Benchmarking: searching our benchmarking candidates and information to enable us to measure our IT organization with other companies; conducting as least one benchmarking activity/visit each year.
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree, preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience coordinating/overseeing activities in a multi-functional environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience communicating technical and business issues/solutions to all levels of management
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing personnel
