Summary:Directly participates in the leadership and management of the IT aspects of Inpatient and Ambulatory Population Health Initiatives, Government Regulatory Programs related to the Epic EMR,and related technologies and systems. Manages and directly supervises planning and daily training operations for all Epic and Epic related technologies and systems. Responsible for building and managing a comprehensive and sophisticated “software as a service” division that competes in the physician office EMR marketplace.

Some of the responsibilities are:-Designs, develops and maintaining business development, technical, software services, and support activities and services for the Epic Inpatient Service Lines and ambulatory/community physician systems including electronic medical records and practice management systems-Develops business plans and sets business strategy related to the Epic Inpatient and community/ambulatory physician product line.-Manages development and implementation of enterprise-wide integrated information systems and provides guidance to the clients.-Participates in the investigation, evaluation, systems analysis, design and management of the systems and system projects.-Manages the development of project requirements, project timelines, detailed specifications, work plans and project resources.-Coordinates the analysis of current business functions and processes to be automated and formulates a plan for automation.-Establishes project quality standards/measures, proactively monitors these standards/measures and modifies them as appropriate.-Presents a unified solution set to customers encompassing system, process and technical services.-Builds and mentors team members to deliver high quality, consulting and service delivery to Inpatient and Ambulatory service lines.-Manages day-to-day activities of the team including determining work schedules, prioritizing activities and monitoring performance.Handles hiring, discipline, evaluation and feedback as necessary.-Coordinates activities within delivery services with other divisions as applicable to provide a seamless set of services to the clients.-Develops and oversees business process analysis methodologies, skills and design projects.-Ensures integration of system configuration (coordinated design and build).-Provides proactive and effective project management services for all aspects of the project lifecycle.-Provides technical leadership to IS and the enterprise including being conversant with the future direction of information systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how current and future systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.-Assists with the promotion and marketing of systems and services to community physicians and stakeholders at large.-Conduct weekly team lead meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates

Qualifications:Bachelor degree in information systems(IT), business or related field.5 years of information systems experience.

3 years of clinical healthcare systems and enterprise systems experience.4 years project management experience, and ability to assess risk impact to projects.Working knowledge of Epic implementation and support model experience as applicable. No Epic certifications are required.Skilled in Microsoft Office products.Prior experience with Population Health initiative a plus; prior experience with Quality Improvement a plus

Additional Info:The current manager is retiring. The position reports to the Director of Ambulatory Services whom is a really good leader and person to work for.Person would have 12 direct reports(1 RN and combo of Education & Business Consultants).Responsible for all IT training programs (Epic, Pop Health, etc.).Person can work remotely up to 5 days in a 2-week pay period.The hospital will offer between 86K-115K depending on experience and there is a full benefit package and some relocation assistance.
