Position Summary:Vernovis is currently partnering with a large retailer in Columbus to place an enterprise IT Project Manager. This position will work within their newly built ePMO and work across both applications and infrastructure project.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and budget. Examples of projects that could be assigned are; new product development, business integrations, new applications, RFP/RFI/RFQ for new opportunities, technology upgrades, process improvements, new technology implementations, etc.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, needs/expectations, and success criteria among executive sponsors, project leadership, key stakeholders, and project team.
  • Effectively manage risk, including management strategies, mitigation plans, monitoring, and reporting. This extends to issues and required decisions, ensuring transparency and understanding each project's needs and requirements.
  • Proactively manage project change requests and lead efforts to assess impacts. Socialize with project sponsor(s), leaders, and stakeholders and secure proper approval of proposed changes.
  • Monitor project performance, identify issues and resolutions, and escalate issues via the project sponsor and key business stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Project Management, Enterprise Project Management or Innovation Project Management
  • Working knowledge of SDLC and Infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • 4-year degree required
  • PMP Certification preferred
