Our direct, F100 client headquartered near Cleveland, OH is looking to hire a REMOTE IT Project Manager for a 12-month, extendable contract position. You'd be joining their CRM Aligned Delivery team, and the focus will be on prior experience managing Agile application development projects. Candidates can work remotely within the US, but must be able to follow an EST schedule. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Understand the work needing to be completed and work with the lead technical team members to complete work in the most effective way. - Participate in Sprint Planning to ensure work is in alignment with monthly and quarterly goals and timelines - Facilitate stand up meetings (three times per week), understanding impediments/roadblocks, and taking action to remove them and/or drive them to closure to support the team in meeting its projected sprint velocity and that planned work is being completed in a timely manner - Facilitate sprint reviews (bi-weekly) and retrospectives (monthly). Ensure that we take action in apply learnings to improve future velocity and quality. - Own the sprint velocity, examining data, taking appropriate actions and looking for ways to improve - Set incremental sprint milestones for mainframe work that is scheduled to take longer than one sprint to complete - Provide standard sprint metrics for the leadership (planned, completed, carried points, baseline reporting, etc.) - Attend sponsor meetings to present recent accomplishments and upcoming/planned work - Ensure defect resolution is occurring in a timely manner - Conduct process improvement experiments (if applicable) and document related Lean testimonials. - Creates and maintains project management deliverables and artifacts (e.g., plans, schedules, budgets, resource staffing, vendor management) This will include leveraging Azure Dev Ops. - Provides transparent, verbal, and written project status and updates to project stakeholders. - Planning and facilitating execution of IT software projects.
