Description We have a contract employment opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Financial Controller, operating within the manufacturing industry. Based in Akron, Ohio, this role can be executed remotely. As a Financial Controller, you will oversee financial operations across our facilities in Latin America. You will work closely with a team of entry level accounting staff, providing supervision and guidance.Responsibilities: Overseeing the financial activities of our business units in LATAM. Supervising a team of six entry level accounting staff across these locations. Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial data. Regularly updating and maintaining detailed financial records. Resolving any financial inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management and report generation. Conducting month-end close activities and monthly consolidation. Reporting consolidated financials to the corporate team on a monthly basis. Utilizing your Spanish language skills for effective communication with the Central American team.This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and straightforward business environment. Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus, but not a requirement.Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create, manage, and interpret complex spreadsheets Proven experience in Month End Close processes, demonstrating accuracy and efficiency Strong skills in Monthly Consolidation, with a focus on streamlining and improving existing processes Fluency in Spanish Language, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively in a business setting Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry, with an understanding of its unique financial requirements Proven track record of managing financial operations in Latin America, adhering to local regulations and standards Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee a diverse team Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines High level of integrity, maintaining confidentiality and detail-oriented at all times Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a detail-oriented accounting qualification being a plus.
