Job Title: Lead ArchitectJob Code: 107131SummaryThis role reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and works closely with the Architecture, Security, Infrastructure and Application Development teams to provide overall architectural leadership for Security across NiSource. This role will be responsible for providing technology direction for Security using Enterprise Architecture standards. This Security Architect must possess deep technology experiences in Security to build out the architecture vision, strategy and capability roadmap for his or her area of expertise.Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Defines/executes the architecture vision, strategy, and capability roadmaps for:

Identity Management

Identity Authentication and Authorization

Directory Services and single sign on

Threat and Vulnerability Management

System Audit

Security Architecture Assurance

Availability

Asset (Information) Protection

Fraud Prevention, Detection and Response

Integrated Governance, Compliance and Risk Management

Creates and/or evolves the Security architecture function/program

Identifies and analyzes the Security business drivers to develop Security architecture requirements

Analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon security

Develops the Security architecture governance structure based on business and IT strategies

Implements Security architecture and ongoing refinement activities

Develops and executes a communication plan (including education) for Security architecture standards

Acts as a sounding board for IT and business leaders in the development of solutions for Security needs

Builds and manages relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to effectively socialize and manage the Enterprise Security Architecture

Partners with Operations teams on long-term solutions including Incident and Problem Management. Partner on performance issues as necessary, providing technical architecture leadership

Partners with operational technology teams on strategies and approaches on securing control and SCADA networks

Partners with physical (corporate) security teams and act as liaison between teams

Works collaboratively with IT operations team, service providers and local, state and federal agencies during incident response

May take on a Project Leader role for special enterprise-wide assignments

A secure IT environment at an appropriate cost

Drives future state of Cyber Security and Compliance Technologies

Effective Security management processes and tools that protect the IT environment

Publishes and effectively uses Security Architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and procedures

Best practices for Security management incorporated into the software development lifecycle

Clear and effective communications of Security outcomes and processes

Required Qualifications for Position

Bachelor Degree in a technical (Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline) or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or experience in Security capabilities

Competency in Security practices across Business, Application, Information and Technical Architectures

Experience developing future state architectures and a practical roadmap to get there

Leadership in the space of information/data management, master data management data warehousing and business intelligence

Working knowledge of NIST, CIP, NERC, FERC and other energy industry security stands and best practices

Security certifications strongly preferred

Strong communication, influence and negotiation skills

Ability to self-prioritize work effectively

Open to extensive travel on short notice

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

Working knowledge of business process re-engineering

Experience with legacy and new computing architectures

Experience developing multi-year strategic IT plans

Experience applying ITIL

Experience managing an effective reuse program across the enterprise

Experience with managing service providers
