Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: Ohio (onsite 50-75%)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months with the possibility for an extension

Responsibilities

Assist Network Engineering team on-site with complex projects and initiatives. Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance to troubleshoot complex network performance issues.
Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions.
Provide expertise and guidance within the design and implementation of network growth plans; including allocation of bandwidth based on projected usage, recommendation of network hardware, software and connectivity to accommodate traffic growth, etc.
Independently handling day-to-day tickets and projects allocated to the hospital and tower. Effectively handling tickets and service requests to triage any hardware or networking functions in order to optimize functionality and operations for the network at large.
Interacting with and communicating cross-functionally with individuals throughout the hospital to respond to tickets and project requests.
Monitor network infrastructure through network monitoring software, wireless LAN controllers, and able to offer suggestions in monitoring strategy.
Maintains and creates network documentation both written and network diagrams.
Assists with the maintenance of security in the network architecture by following client guidelines.

Requirements

7-10+ years of Network Engineering experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Master's degree preferred.
Great communication skills, working cross functionally across multiple departments.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Ability to travel on-site to Ohio
Experience with HP/Aruba, Fortinet, & Juniper/Mist
