POSITION OPENING: Lead Production Supervisor COMPANY LOCATION: Canton, OH A. Position Summary The Lead Production Supervisor will manage and direct Production Shift Supervisors and hourly production employees of the Canton Ingot facility. This individual will offer technical and administrative support to the Operations Manager as it relates to operations, in addition to trouble shooting and problem solving equipment issues (including but not limited to, Plasma ARC Melt, Electron Beam, and VAR furnaces, Blend and Pucking and Press Machinery) B. Job Duties / Responsibilities

Direct and supervise the Production Shift Supervisors and hourly production employees.

Collect and compile Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics from Production Shift Supervisors and present data in a format that allows for easy analysis.

Increase up time on all equipment by managing preventative maintenance, total productive maintenance, general maintenance, and maintenance of critical spare parts.

Maintain the staffing schedule for hourly production employees and implement hourly staffing changes to optimize production coverage.

Manage vacation calendar for Production Shift Supervisors and coordinate coverage to fill in gaps to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Act as a liaison to ensure the administration of disciplinary actions and ensure all Production Shift Supervisors are consistently documenting work rule violations.

Ensure Production Shift Supervisors are adhering to all relevant work rules and procedures and are enforcing these standards consistently amongst the hourly production employees.

Submit and coordinate requests for information in regards to payroll processing in a timely manner.

Oversee the ordering of spare parts and consumables.

Work closely with facility management to ensure safe, productive and efficient production.

Coordinate assigned projects to Production Shift Supervisors.

Participate in and/or assist with all Continuous Improvement activities and events as well 5S/Housekeeping.

Develop and recommend improvements to facilities, equipment, or procedures that will improve safety, quality, or productivity.

C. Basic Qualifications / Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of vacuum furnaces

Demonstrated 5 years of maintenance trouble shooting and problem solving on vacuum furnaces or similar equipment.

Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Prior supervisory/leadership experience.

Exhibit a strong work ethic that includes a good attendance record.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Available to work all shifts and weekends / holidays as required.

Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience with Microsoft Office software; Experience with SAP a plus.

Ability to manage people and processes.

Ability to make decisions and explain the reasoning behind those decisions.
