job detailsA fast-growing Plastics Packaging Company, is looking for skilled Machine Set Up Technicians/Operators. Duties of the job include, but are not limited to, maintaining and operation of Thermoforming Machinery. As a Setup Technician/Operator, you'll ensure efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is provided in order to improve your skills, so a willingness to learn and improve is a must in this position. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.salary: $62,000 - $100,000 per yearshift: Secondwork hours: 7 PM - 7 AMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesSet up machines (perform mold changes, plug, cavity changes, cleaning, etc.) in preparation for productionOperate machine and adjust settings as necessary to achieve proper product quality and smooth machine operationLoading of raw materialsInspect parts with precise measuring tools to ensure qualityMonitor and test operation of machines periodicallyCorrect issues that may occur during the shiftCheck output in order to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final products Maintain activity logsProven experience as machine operator or setup technicianWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Understanding of and willingness to follow and enforce production proceduresAbility to read technical manualsAttention to detailThe essential functions of this role include:
