Serves as the external communications lead for Ford Blue, Labor and Manufacturing

Working together with the Ford Blue team, leads strategic communications for over 20 U.S. manufacturing plants

Partners closely with the Vice President, Labor Affairs and Vice President, Americas Manufacturing to ensure alignment and integration of communications plan

Leads the development and execution of communications and media strategies and content

Identifies and proactively manages issues and emerging risks

Oversees ongoing enterprise storytelling

Develops strong media relationships

Continuous personal development of functional competencies and leadership agilities

Attention to detail and consistency

You'll have

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

7+ years of professional experience in communications, with exceptional written and verbal communications and project management skills

Track record of success for executing strategic communications efforts

Experience in crisis and issues management, ability to manage and lead others through challenging situations

Knowledge and experience in digital storytelling and tools highly preferred

Candidate should be knowledgeable about the earned media landscape and have prior experience working with journalists and influencers
