Manual Lathe Operation - General Laborer

03 Apr 2024

Vacancy expired!

We are currently in search of someone that would be interested in filling a position in our assembly line running manual lathes, band saws, drill presses, and some custom made fabrication equipment. If you have experience running Warner & Swasey pre-1980 machines or any other type of engine lathes, we are very interested in offering you the position. Digital readouts are installed on all machines, and machining tolerances are not tight on these making them very quick and simple (+/- 0.010" on this job). You need to be able to maintain focus and are expected to work efficiently throughout the day and show up on time. This is not a complicated job to learn and on site training can be provided if you are at an entry level knowledge about these.

Advancement options are available, and you can branch out to learn numerous other operations and machines in our shop. These include welding & fabrication, CNC lathe machining & milling, forklift operation, just to name a few. Pay is based on work provided hourly, and the more you can manage to learn and do efficiently, the more we pay per hour.

Opening can be filled immediately upon submitting an application. Requirements needed for employment include a copy of your drivers license and a document to verify social security number upon hiring, the ability to lift 50 lbs. safely (cranes are used for heavier parts), and be able show up for an interview in Tipp City. We are a local family owned business offering full-time employment with no overtime required (or offered at this time) and work hours are 7:30am-6pm Monday through Thursday. Pay is negotiable depending on what skills you already possess. You'll be expected to provide your own boots and uniforms (jeans and t-shirt are fine, steel toes not required).
