Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Avery Dennison is seeking a Quality Engineer that is a self directed problem solver to manage customer claims reduction projects, claim tracking,  and critical ISO systems at the Graphic’s Fairport Harbor Plant.  In this role, the successful candidate will help support site initiatives  to drive a world class quality culture at the Fairport site. You will work closely with the site engineering team and the broader divisional quality and commercial teams in Graphics to ensure issues affecting quality and customer satisfaction are identified and issues resolved.  Activities may include, but are not limited to:Serve as the site corrective and preventative action (CAPA) coordinator to maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards and ensuring corrective actions address root cause to prevent recurrenceMaintain other aspects of the QMS (Quality Management System) as assignedMaintain and improve reporting tools for critical quality metrics and site claim visibility to the manufacturing teamLead Manufacturing Execution claim reduction projects to support the site and divisional quality strategiesParticipate in daily and weekly MDI process and support quality related actionsEstablish and assess quality testing standards and required frequencies based on risk and product requirements.Analyze data trends to understand capability of critical to quality attributes measured in testing Provides training and quality support to the production areas as neededSafety:Practice all health and safety procedures, policies and practices.Practice excellent housekeeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area.Participate in all required safety training and initiatives.
