Certified Medical Assistant - ENT/RespiratoryJob DescriptionThe Certified Medical Assistant will work with providers at the ENT office and the Respiratory Institute. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals (SPo2, B/P, T, P, R, Wt.), asking appropriate questions from the questionnaire, verifying and updating medical, surgical, tobacco, and alcohol history, confirming allergies, verifying pharmacy and medications, and asking if patients need any refills pertaining to respiratory or allergy needs. You will exit the chart and notify the physician when the patient is ready, either in person or via message. Providers see adult patients only, focusing on general pulmonary, sleep, lung cancer/masses/nodules, and post- COVID conditions. You will assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering information related to health maintenance, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care. You will also update health maintenance at patient visits, accurately identify medication changes, and update allergy information at each visit. Monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition, administering specific medications under the direction of the provider, maintaining equipment and medical supplies (including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting), and maintaining examination areas are also part of your duties. Additionally, you will assist in pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab.Qualifications

Must be CCMA, CMA, or RMA certified (OR be able to commit to a certification within 90 days)

6+ months of Medical Assisting preferred

Experience with EPIC preferred

You will work 1:1 with providers.
