job detailsjob summary:Global Metals company is seeking an ambitious Metallurgist to be involved with Product Development, Process, and Quality throughout their plant going through immense growth and investment. Individual will be responsible for process improvement, quality disposition, etc. Excellent benefits, lucrative bonus', and full relocation. Review steel making practices for efficiency and cost savings.
Develop alternative steel making strategies.
Review mill orders to meet customer specifications and purchase orders.
Assist in the development of customer and company specifications.
Development and maintenance of product data sheets to streamline sales inquiries.
Maintain material specifications, rolling codes, and the company's grade book.
Monitor processes to ensure adherence of products to industry and customer standards.
Define and document Standard Operating Procedures and modified processes.
Effectively communicate with customers, sales personnel, operations, and outside processors to result in positive customer relations to develop new products based on customer inquiries and mill capabilities.
Effectively communicate with all personnel within the plant while implementing managerial technology.
Manage communication of quality issues to the business/ coordinate teams to work on resolution.
Manage and report on trials for product development.
Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.
