Job Description: Position Summary: Install and maintain self-contained electric meters energized up to 240 volts in the shop and on customer premises. Essential Job Functions: 1. Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billing2. Install, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters3. Test singlephase, network, and polyphase self-contained meter for proper operation and accuracy4. Program meters5. Perform Credit and Collections related order including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment6. Investigate irregular usage7. Investigate energy diversion8. Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures9. Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment10. Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports11. Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms Requirements NOTE: This position will be filled at the title and wage level commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate as compared to the minimum education and experience requirements listed below. Education (All Levels): Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology;Experience: No experience required for entry into classification as Meter Electrician C; Two (2) years of related experience for classification as Meter Electrician B; Four (4) years of related experience for consideration as Meter Electrician A. Licenses/Certifications: Valid State Driver's License.
