Job Description: Position Summary: Install and maintain self-contained electric meters energized up to 240 volts in the shop and on customer premises. Essential Job Functions & Tasks: Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billingInstall, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect metersTest singlephase, network, and polyphase self-contained meter for proper operation and accuracyProgram metersPerform Credit and Collections related order including disconnect and reconnect for non-paymentInvestigate irregular usageInvestigate energy diversionRepair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosuresOrder, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipmentInvestigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reportsPerform work from ladders and elevated platforms Requirements Note: This position will be filled the level commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate as compared to the minimum education and experience requirements listed below. Education: Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology.Experience: No experience required for entry/C level; 2 years of experience in lower classification, or equivalent external experience, necessary for consideration at subsequent levels.Licenses/Certifications: Valid state driver's license.
