2nd and 3rd Shift Atmospheric Annealing Operator

ITW Shakeproof Automotive a division of ITW, serves major automotive OEMs and their tier suppliers with metal, cold-headed fasteners. The division consists of facilities in Elgin IL, Machesney Park IL, Elk Grove Village IL, Darlington WI, Bedford Heights OH, as well as a Sales office in Troy MI. Hours 7:00pm-7:00AM 48/36 hour weekly rotating schedule

Responsible for the operation of equipment to anneal rod and wire.

Loads and unloads coils of rod and wire using material handling equipment.

Operates overhead crane to move furnaces and load and unload bases.

Must apply correct annealing cycle for each charge.

Performs all adjustments of atmosphere gas per cycle requirements as well as check the atmosphere dew points to attain proper quality of annealed product.

· Sample material that has been annealed in the Atmosheric Annealing Department.· Department Housekeeping· Follow all general safety practices and wear required PPE at all times

Operates overhead crane and powered material handling equipment in a safe manner to move product in and out of the department.
