Title: Network Architect aria-hidden="true" Location: Columbus OH and Merrillville IN|Hybrid Remote aria-hidden="true" Duration: 12 months aria-hidden="true" aria-hidden="true" Description aria-hidden="true" Responsibilities : aria-hidden="true" The Architect's / Lead Architect's primary responsibility and accountability is to provide architecture leadership for the current and future NiSource technology environment within a technology domain. This includes working with business leaders and service providers to develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies, as well as developing methodologies and processes to ensure compliance to those strategies. The Lead Architect is also responsible to develop and maintain Technology Roadmaps aligned with approved IT Investments and approved by IT Leadership. aria-hidden="true" Effective Technology portfolio management processes and tools used as a key input into IT investment decisions and in developing solution alternatives to meet business needs aria-hidden="true" Proactive technology roadmaps and plans for future needs, based on anticipated business goals and industry direction aria-hidden="true" Project architecture reviews conducted in a timely manner with appropriate level of quality (Lead Architect) aria-hidden="true" Published up-to-date and adhered to architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and procedures aria-hidden="true" Reduced cost of IT via effective reuse, processes and adherence to standards aria-hidden="true" Principal Duties and Responsibilities aria-hidden="true" Analyze enterprise business drivers to develop enterprise architecture strategies and plans aria-hidden="true" Research technology industry and market trends for a domain aria-hidden="true" Develop strategies and roadmaps to consolidate and protect IT assets aria-hidden="true" Identify opportunities to invest in emerging technologies aria-hidden="true" Collaborate closely with peer Architects and IT staff to drive NiSource objectives aria-hidden="true" Develop standards and reference architectures for the domain aria-hidden="true" Review design artifacts for compliance with architecture direction aria-hidden="true" Develop and maintain product standards in assigned domains aria-hidden="true" Drive technology portfolio management discipline aria-hidden="true" Identify, champion and direct technology roadmap initiatives aria-hidden="true" Establish best practices and standards and track adoption of standards aria-hidden="true" Establish processes for ongoing identification and management of technology risks aria-hidden="true" Provide enterprise architecture consulting as needed on all major initiatives as assigned aria-hidden="true" Recommend proactive courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness aria-hidden="true" Communicate clearly and effectively with business and IT management aria-hidden="true" Remain continuously aware of technology trends and best practices, and incorporate this knowledge into architecture strategy and plans aria-hidden="true" Use influence and negotiation skills to gain consensus for recommendations aria-hidden="true" aria-hidden="true" Qualifications : aria-hidden="true" Bachelor's Degree in a technical (Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline) or business field required aria-hidden="true" Total years' experience: Lead Architect: 7+; Architect: 5+ years' experience as an Enterprise Architect: Lead Architect: 3+ years; Architect: 2+ years aria-hidden="true" Skills Cisco ACI, SDWAN, SDN, ISE, AND Cloud Networking
