Description We are offering a contract for a Network Engineer position in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is primarily focused on responding to help desk tickets, maintaining ERP systems, and ensuring IT controls are maintained and documented. The industry is technology-driven, and the workplace is a fast-paced environment where the Network Engineer is expected to confidently manage vendor maintenance.Responsibilities: Respond promptly and effectively to help desk tickets, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner. Actively manage ERP systems across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Liaise with vendors to ensure service level agreements are being met and maintained. Maintain and troubleshoot file transfer systems for ERP systems, ensuring smooth operations. Thoroughly maintain and document IT controls in compliance with public trading regulations. Build comprehensive documentation and confidently present it to auditors when required. Apply network engineering skills to ensure the security of infrastructure. Uphold compliance requirements specific to publicly traded companies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Network Engineer or similar role Proven expertise in Infrastructure Security Demonstrated proficiency in Network Engineering Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred Strong knowledge of network protocols and systems Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues Familiarity with network analysis tools and performance tuning Ability to design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks Capacity to install, configure and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP Must possess good communication skills for explaining complex network concepts to non-technical colleagues Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE will be an added advantage.
