Founded in 1976 we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists three cardiothoracic surgeons and three vascular surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health. CommonSpirit has more than 700 care sites across the U.S. and is committed to building healthy communities.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.Essential Responsibilities: Obtain medical histories when necessary.
Perform physical exams.
Diagnose, treat and monitor cardiology issues.
Order diagnostic tests.
Prescribe or recommend medications for treatment.
Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling.
Assure charts are signed off according to protocol.
Maintain patient's privacy and confidentiality.
Work closely with other nurses to assure patient flow is efficient.
Consult with physician regarding patient symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment.
QualificationsLicense/Certification: Current/valid RN and APN License from Tennessee
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Qualification: One year previous experience as a Advanced Practice Provider in an acute or primary care setting.
