Kelly technology has an opening for a Perm or Temp to Hire Senior BI Developer, Hybrid, to work with our client in Columbus, OH or Charleston, WV. 1 Day a week on site:

Salary range up to 125K

SUMMARY Immediate opening for a Senior BI Developer for either our corporate office in Columbus, Ohio or regional office in Charleston, WV. In this role, you will have the option to work a flexible hybrid schedule with occasional in-person work as needed but you must reside within a three-hour driving distance to our office location. We can hire at multiple seniority levels depending on candidate qualifications.

ROLE Using expert knowledge of BI tools and insurance domains, define complex business reporting and lead other members of the team in their assignments. Lead data discovery, solution design and implementation efforts to support increasingly effective business intelligence needs. Coordinate work across cross functional teams. Performs and/or oversees administrative functions on current tools. Responsible for tracking performance across all BI tools and leading improvement efforts to avoid future problems. Responsible for leading team efforts to improve team effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead others to apply BI tools to solve complex business problems.
  • Expert in providing daily support, administration, upgrades and improvements on all BI tools.
  • Meets with business partners to define and document business requirements and reporting needs.
  • Demonstrate continued growth in business knowledge and business analysis capabilities across multiple business domains. Mentor team members in their pursuits.
  • Works closely with ETL team to define business requirements and use of new data elements. Participate in the design of new database structures to fulfill business requirements.
  • Lead project scrum meetings.
  • Great at communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Great at customer service, listening and participating in business problem resolution.
  • Represent data team working in cross functional teams.
  • Effectively interacts and collaborates with teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Validates team compliance to IT processes and procedures and defines improvement areas.
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders.
  • Lead Data Governance effort.
  • Leads BI tool research for new tools and recommends future direction.
  • Develop a true understanding of the role and how it impacts the team, division, and company.
  • Understand how attitude impacts the company and how actions contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Through project work and daily interactions, continue to develop understanding of what success means to you, your team, and your customers.
  • Consistently engage in behaviors that produce positive experiences and outcomes.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related.
  • Prefer 8+ year experience with BI development and/or tools or related IT experience.
  • Must possess expert level knowledge of database, SQL concepts and BI tools.
  • Logical thinking in making decisions, completing work tasks and solving problems.
  • Should be quick learner and have an adaptable mindset.
  • Ability to achieve continuous improvement in your technical and business acumen skillset.
  • Must possess great written and verbal communication skills.
