Urgent need! PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer Requirements

  • Familiar with automated assembly processes
  • Have written software, from scratch, for automated assembly cells
  • Capable of independently writing functional software using the inputs of electrical prints and cycle time / sequence of operation charts
  • Able to integrate third party devices using the PLC for control
  • Have commissioned automation cells with robotic automation before
  • Work within template software guidelines
Responsibilities
  • PLC programming of a station or multiple stations within a cell
  • Create HMI screens to provide manual control of stations and cells
  • Connect to equipment with a PC Flash Firmware on control equipment
  • Download software to control equipment
  • Commission Ethernet/IP fieldbus network
  • Validate operation of safety equipment, including E-Stops, Gates, and Light Curtains Tune Servos, Teach servos via HMI interface
  • Establish communications to third party equipment such as cameras and fastening equipment
  • Operate equipment via HMI control in manual mode
  • Communicate with build team so the build team can correct build defects, including alignments, sensor positioning, and such
  • Operate equipment in dry cycle mode
  • Support limited runs with product running through the machine
Experience with the following equipment and software packages:
  • Read and Understand Electrical Schematics RSLogix v32 or greater Rockwell processors used for automation control GuardLogix Safety
  • Programming RSView Studio SE Used for equipment s HMIs.
  • HMIs are thin client PCs. Ethernet/IP Fieldbus Servo Applications Positioning of devices, Pick and Places Servo type TBD, Rockwell, Festo, or Bosch are all possiblities
Preferred Experience:
  • Fanuc Robot Integration Fanuc programming background is not necessary, but being able to understand the PLC side of handshaking with the Fanuc controller is needed
  • Networking Commissioning of Stratix managed Ethernet switches Vision Cognex Camera Systems Familiarity with MES systems Customer has a proprietary system, basic understanding of principles behind an MES system is useful The customer provides template interface code
