Principle Consultant - Application Developer- Remote / Telecommute

We are looking for

• Assist in maintaining operational stability across a platform of applications in support of the divestiture projects.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise which may include needing to bug fix and/or create new application modules.
• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
• Developing the modules in the application / UI portion for the product and provide fixes for the current issues with necessary documentation.
• Skilled in Java, J2EE, JSF, Perl, SQL, XML, along with a highly specialized or new application. Desired skills (but not mandatory); Scripting on Linux platform. Proficient in: Java on Windows and Linux environment.

• Excellent programming skills in scripting languages like Python/Shell/Markdown or other related language is required.
• Experience with Version Control (Git, GitHub).
• Strong knowledge working with REST APIs, Message Queues, and SOAP.
• Good knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL is a plus).
• Understanding and ability to troubleshoot Angular and NodeJS.

• Strong knowledge of Computer Networking. (HTTPS/TCP/UDP/Firewalls/SMTP/SIP/Proxy) and Application Security best practices
• Experience implementing tests and using unit test frameworks.
• Cloud knowledge (current environment is in AWS).
• Ability to work under limited supervision.
• Makes connections among previously unrelated ideas.
• Understanding of WordPress and JavaScript.
