Description We are on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Specialist for a long-term contract role in our Manufacturing industry based in Youngstown, Ohio. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be tasked with a range of duties including conducting inspections, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining records in accordance with our Business Management System requirements. Responsibilities: Conducting various inspections and tests, such as inspecting customer returns and supplier issues, employing tools like micrometers, calipers, protractors, and other relevant fixtures. Reading and understanding blueprints to ensure product quality. Assisting in Document Control tasks, such as updating documentation. Assisting with the management of Nonconforming Products by ensuring proper segregation, identification, and disposition of such products, as well as recording information in the Nonconformance Log. Assisting in identifying, investigating, and resolving problems to maintain product quality. Handling complaints from various sources, including suppliers, customers, and internal sources, and recording information in the complaint system database. Providing advice, training, and support to operators on quality processes to ensure efficient operations. Performing product audits during production and inspection to ensure product quality. Conducting dock audits of finished goods before dispatch to ensure product quality. Assisting in inspecting incoming raw materials and products from outside processing to ensure quality standards. Maintaining records in accordance with the Business Management System requirements to ensure accurate record keeping. Requirements Applicant must possess a strong understanding of Blue Prints, including reading, interpreting, and understanding them. Proficiency in conducting inspections is a crucial requirement for this role. The candidate should have a knack for precision measurement, demonstrating the ability to effectively use tools such as tape measures. A potential candidate should have a strong ability to measure performance, with a focus on quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. No prior experience is required. However, the applicant must demonstrate an eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
