Quality Engineer

Avery Dennison is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer that is a highly motivated problem solver to lead supplier improvement and critical ISO systems at the Engineered Films Plants.  In this role, the successful candidate will bring passion, determination and a sense of urgency to drive a world class quality culture to EFP operations. You will work closely with the broader divisional quality organization in EFP, site operations, engineering and supply chain to ensure business success in a leading company where individual and team success are recognized and rewarded.  Activities may include, but are not limited to:Serve as the site Document Control Administrator to maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards Lead Supplier Quality Improvement initiatives driving corrective action and managing the raw material rejection process to minimize internal losses and impact to HOLD accrualMaintain and improve reporting tools for critical quality metrics Lead quality projects to support the operations quality strategy improving reducing customer claims in the market and/ or reducing internal losses Provide plant quality support and representation in new product development, spec reviews and approvals, scale up, design transfer, and facility validation activitiesParticipate in daily and weekly MDI process and support quality related actionsLead customer corrective action requests implementing countermeasures to prevent recurrence Establish and assess quality testing standards and required frequencies based on risk and product requirements.Analyze data trends to understand capability of critical to quality attributes measured in testing Perform other tasks or project work as assigned Lead customer quality improvement with a focus on specific customersLead claim rePerform data analysis and capability studiesProvides training and quality support to the production areas as neededSafety:Practice all health and safety procedures, policies and practices.Practice excellent housekeeping.
