Other states and locales may be considered related to payroll, tax and benefits.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Essential Function: Support Operating Company regulatory activities. Associated Tasks:
Develop, create, modify, and manage regulatory accounting models for specific regulatory jurisdictions.
Prepare and coordinate various regulatory schedules and exhibits across functional lines of business.
Query accounting records.
Analyze and research accounting transactions.
Determine total company revenue requirements, rate base, operating income, and cost of capital while considering regulatory jurisdiction variables.
Tailor presentation of results to operating company Vice Presidents.
Interact and communicate with various parties in regulatory proceedings, including commission staff.
Draft written testimony for both direct and rebuttal phases of litigation; occasionally present oral testimony.
Attend commission meetings.
Coordinate, participate, and host on-site reviews and/or audits by regulatory commission staff and intervenors.
Make presentations to commission staff and intervenors.
Prepare and review responses to interrogatories and coordinate the efforts of others in the accounting department to prepare responses during discovery and rebuttal phases of proceedings.
Support settlement discussions with financial analysis based on multiple scenarios.
Support internal and external legal personnel in the preparation and filing of regulatory applications, briefs, proposed findings of fact and orders, motions for rehearing, and appeals as necessary.
Analyze regulatory legal requirements, commission rules, and develop strategies on compliance as it relates to regulatory accounting activities, including research of other utilities' filings for precedent on individual issues.
Participate in working groups with commissions and other utilities in establishing or updating minimum filing requirements in individual jurisdictions, as well as developing new legislation applicable to our industry.
Essential Function: Support Operating Company regulatory strategy. Associated Tasks:
Prepare regulatory analysis as needed by operating companies.
Analyze financial data involving variables such as total company data, data related to a specific jurisdiction, or data related to a specific investment or a specific expense for a variety of reasons such as to assist with both actual versus budget comparison as well as earnings versus amounts approved in rate filings.
Consider impact of past commission decisions and incorporating into analysis.
Inform operating companies of the accounting implications related to certain regulatory initiatives.
Essential Function: Provide accounting instructions to other accounting departments as required from regulatory proceedings. Associated Tasks:
Research Commission decisions.
Research generally accepted accounting principles.
Research Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rules.
Issue accounting memos.

Complete regulatory activity portion of issues book.
Draft and review regulatory accounting disclosures.

INITIAL POSITION / BASE SALARY FUNDING: ($94,225 - $122,491).
