You will also ensure compliance with reporting, accreditation, and governance requirements within their hospital. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Enabling the STEEEP (Safe, Timely, Effective, Efficient, Equitable, and Patient-Centered) focus on SQPE.

Leading hospital SQPE departments to ensure consistency in application of assurance and improvement processes.

Collaborating with subject matter expert leaders in nursing quality, accreditation, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) (Environmental Health and Safety) (Environmental Health and Safety), Radiation Safety, Safety, High Reliability, infection Prevention, etc. to drive the organization to a consistent approach to being the best place to get care anywhere.

Collaborates with leadership and support teams to develop, and maintain an integrated Quality Plan to achieve quality, safety, and patient experience goals.

Acts as an accountable partner for all clinical areas within their areas of responsibility

Communicates priorities to stakeholders at all levels and drives performance on hospital OKRs related to safety, quality, and patient experience.

Support the medical staff peer review and committees for quality improvement. Ensure ongoing professional practice evaluation and focused evaluations are conducted thoroughly and justly.

Drives continuous improvement activity around quality, safety, and patient experience priorities and coordinates improvement projects.

Ensures continuous patient and survey readiness for the hospital and all associated outpatient locations.

Act as the local leader with the infection prevention department to reduce infections.

Measures and analyzes data reflecting processes and outcomes prioritized by Hospital and the Clinical Transformation Leadership Team. Acts as the local expert in safety and quality performance for the Hospital.

Facilitates dashboard reviews, data analysis and decision-making from data. Identify and address root causes to lead to sustainable improvement.

Acts as a champion for continuous improvement utilizing the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model.

Coach others to improve organizational capacity for improvement.

Manages the budget for the local quality department as a steward of limited resources.

Supports enterprise improvement projects as necessary.

Develops relationships with skilled nursing facilities, home care agencies, and other groups that support the patients served by the hospital.

Presents to the governing body on quality performance and goals.

Ensures productivity, performance, and engagement of local clinical transformation team members regardless of reporting relationships.

Languages:

English.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, or related field required.

Master's Degree preferred.

Certifications:

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Required within 1 year of hire.

Other preferred certifications: 

Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS) 

Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP) or Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP)  

Process Improvement Certification preferred: Lean, Six Sigma, etc. 

Certified in Infection Control (CIC) 

Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) 

Work Experience:

Minimum seven (7) years process improvement or quality management experience.

Healthcare experience preferred.

Progressive quality and performance improvement research, leadership, supervision, or project team management required.

Complexity of Work:

Manages SQPE at a multiple campus hospital under a single Medicare Provider number or a Large Specialized Medical Center as defined by Vizient but does not dual hat as a submarket leader.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Managerial Responsibilities: Includes overall accountability for assigned work group relative to operational goals, personnel requirements, and budgetary constraints.

Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $53.90Maximum hourly: $82.19The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
