Important Note:The contract duration will be for 6-9 months.We only get paid for the duration of the contract, and not for the perm conversion.Title: SAP PTP Specialist Industry: Paper / packaging manufacturingLocation: Remote for now but candidates must be local to these areas: Shelton, CT, NYC, OR Cleveland, OH Job DescriptionThe SAP PTP Specialist will oversee all Client project work and post-implementation work in the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) process area. The jobs entails representing Client in executing system integration testing cycles and deployment of SAP to the Client organization, working closely with Client business team members, IT team members, external consultants, and third-party software providers. He/she will also oversee long-term post-implementation support, maintenance, solution quality, and continuous improvement enablement. This will include overseeing a combination of managed service resources and internal resources. The Owner will report to the overall SAP Solution Application Lead, reporting into the Client CIO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Owner will oversee all integration work within the PTP stream, coordinating with other IT experts to test interfaces, execute any system work that is required in the legacy systems, test integration and business scenarios, train end-users, finalize error handling procedures, deploy updated functionality, and support live legacy changes.In the Test Phases, the Owner will validate the test scripts, oversee and resolve solution defects identified throughout various test cycles, review cutover plans, participate in mock cutovers, and execute system readiness activities. He/she will also help define the support organization, design support procedures, and enable support tools.In the Deployment Phase, the Owner will participate in deployment readiness, cutover, and support preparation activities. He/she will also oversee post-implementation support and transition to long-term support providers. Post-implementation, he/she will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing maintenance of PTP solution. This will include overseeing support staff, overseeing resolution/testing/documenting solution defects, managing solution governance, reviewing solution quality, managing systems upgrades and enhancements, and spearheading key continuous improvement initiatives and solution decisions/roadmap in the future. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing the solution extension for any business expansion, including fit/gap against the template Client solution, new system build elements, testing and regression testing, deployment, and support.The PTP stream encompasses all processes relating to Client’s Supply Chain. Not only will you provide oversight for the implementation of the Procure-to-Pay and Extended Warehouse Management, you will also share your expertise in the end-to-end supply chain process and its key integration with manufacturing, sales and finance.This individual will need to work independently, with limited direction, achieving expected results; resolving issues that may arise in an appropriate manner. He/she will serve as the focal point of contact between the business team, broader IT team, external consultants, and third-party software providers. Travel will be required at various points throughout the project for key activities.

Education and Experience: BSc/BA in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering and 5+ years of experience on SAP implementation projects in the Procure-to-Pay business process area.

The ideal candidate will also have:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Diploma from a recognized institutionMinimum 5 years of experience configuring and implementing SAP ERP or S4/HANA.At minimum 4 full lifecycle implementations (or equivalent experience) configuring SAP MM/EWM module (SAP S/4 Logistics preferred) requiredFamiliarity with SAP integration between modules – SD, MM, PP, FI, PSExperience with workflow functionality to enable approval of purchase requisitions in the Procure-to-Pay processesFamiliarity and hands-on experience with IDOCs as they are used for the standard EDI documents (850 / 856 / 810)Experience executing a business blueprint and documenting business requirements that can be understood by a technical process teamFamiliarity with the business processes around purchase requisition, purchase orders, physical inventory management, and extended warehouse managementFamiliarity in standard forms and labels and RF devices as it pertains to picking and packing and inbound/outbound logisticsExperience designing and supporting interfaces, conversions and forms for SAP S4/HANAExperience with SAP reporting, embedded analytics, and HANA live reporting a plusMust have excellent communication and analytical skills, demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills; both oral and written are a necessityAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentSAP S4/HANA certification(s) in Procurement highly preferred
