- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
- Designing, building, and implementing enterprise-class security systems for a production environment
- Researching and identifying new technologies to improve system/data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Understanding future business growth needs and determining the impact and risk to the organization’s cyber security posture
- Publishing and effectively using Security Architecture standards, frameworks, patterns and procedures
- Analyzing technical risks and advising on risk mitigation strategies
- Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
- Promoting and fostering collaboration and standardization across multiple internal technology groups based on common technology interests and priorities
- Working collaboratively with IT departments, service providers and local, state, and federal agencies during Incident Response operations
- Building and managing relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to effectively socialize and incorporate secure architectural design
- Minimum 8 years of experience in information security
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, operations, information security programs, and technology projects
- TOGAF certification preferred
- Working knowledge of NIST, CIP, NERC, FERC, and other industry security standards and frameworks
- Experience in maintaining SIEM, SOAR, EDR, CASB, NDR, UEBA, and other Threat Detection and Response Technologies
- Experience with designing and developing security architectures for IT, OT, IOT, SCADA, and cloud/hybrid-based environments
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
- Strong leadership, project, and team-building skills, including the ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives in multiple departments
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse audiences
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
