In this role, you will be part of the Supply Chain team reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager and will participate in multiple cross-functional initiatives for Amgen Ohio (AOH) leading to the improvement of the overall planning process applying enterprise-wide programs. In addition, you will organize, drive, and/or support the identification and implementation of related Supply Chain systems and processes. The Sr Associate Buyer will have oversight of placing and expediting orders as needed to ensure components and packaging materials availability. The Sr Associate Buyer will ensure order management processing, which may include purchase orders and blanket order monitoring or other agreements as required by Amgen Ohio for various commodities, supplies, and/or services.This role requires consistent and strong communication within Supply Chain and throughout all of Amgen and across all sites and the successful candidate will play a key role at the Amgen Ohio site ensuring supply reliability, efficiency, agility, and differentiation in service offerings.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Procurement of printed and packaging components and raw materials.

Place, expedite and/or negotiate orders with suppliers and resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies.

Receive, evaluate, and process purchase requisitions for materials and services in compliance with established company policies and procedures.

Generate purchase orders, blanket orders, vendor-managed inventory, or other supply agreements, which could include expediting, monitoring, and updating purchase orders.

Handle projects with a moderate level of complexity, including special projects to identify cost opportunities and savings.

Participate in the design/implementation and monitoring of the supplier partnership programs.

Be innovative when problems arise and find solutions within common business and manufacturing practices.

Maintain purchasing documentation to cGMP standards.

Ensure audit compliance readiness of purchase orders and related records.

Monitor and coordinate returns of goods.

Development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators.

Responsible for meeting budget targets.

Organize, analyze, and communicate metrics and data to highlight operations performance.

Respond effectively to crises and resolve issues arising from competing objectives, limited resources, or differing perspectives.

Contribute to strategic decisions affecting operations.

The professional we seek will possess these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:High school/GED + 4 years of Supply Chain work experienceOR​Associate’s + 2 years of Supply Chain work experienceOR​Bachelor’s + 6 months of Supply Chain work experienceORMaster's ​Preferred Qualifications:

Business Administration, Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Material Management, and/or Industrial Engineering educational background.

Good understanding of ERP-SAP, WM systems.

APICS CPIM, CSCP, or SCOR-P certified.

Experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, GDP OSHA).

Proficient user of software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Skype, Tableau).

Negotiating, Budgeting, Goal setting, Resource Planning, and Decision-Making skills.

Continuous improvement mentality and good organizational skills.

Experience working in a global environment, ability to collaborate /communicate effectively at different management levels.

Availability for international business trips and support non-standard shift organization with the flexibility to work extended hours.

Clear verbal and written communication and presentation skills both within and outside operations functions.
