This Contract Role as a Senior Data Architect in Cincinnati, OH is frequently sought out as a first step in any initiative to provide data-centric thought leadership and direction to project teams and top management. This person translates strategic business and data requirements into roadmaps, conceptual and logical architectures, sourcing and staging strategies, target data models, and similar artifacts which serve as the blueprint for the organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for data who enjoys a mix of critical thinking and getting into the details.

• Broad understanding of enterprise data types, key business processes and their interrelationships
• Analysis of business requirements, existing architectures and frameworks
• Continuously innovate and bring the best of the outside in to create and deliver game-changing data architectures
• Creation and enforcement of data architecture/modeling standards and best practices throughout the company and participation on the Enterprise Architecture Review board
• Train, coach and grow teams within and outside the immediate organization Business Use
• Understanding all aspects of the data architecture from enterprise level to application level to influence and direct the execution project related data architecture, modeling and transformation efforts and the related artifacts
• Consulting with development teams and other architects from application to enterprise to review/approve designs and help solve wicked data integration challenges
• Communicating with different business partners, data governors, developers and other architects to implement your design ideas efficiently and in a way that ensures data quality throughout the data lifecycle

• Ability to execute with excellence individually and influence and lead organizations towards a common data vision and strategy
• Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written), able to communicate effectively in English to convey technical information to regional/global experts at all levels of management
• A Bachelor or Master s degree in an IT / Data related discipline (ex. Applied Science, Data Management, Computer Science, )
• Practical knowledge in Business Analytics, Systems Development and Integration and Data Architecture preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods / Manufacturing industry
• 3+ years hands-on database design and data modeling experience across multiple levels (conceptual, logical, physical, enterprise/application), projects and subject areas with related experience with 1 or more leading data modeling tools (ex. Erwin, ER Studio)
• 3-5 years ETL design and development experience

• Some experience with SQL/noSQL database technologies and cloud technologies is a plus
• 2-3 years Project and Financial Management experience
• Ability to work with diverse teams and contribute individually in a highly dynamic and exciting environment
• CDMP (DAMA), TOGAF certification
