We have a client urgently hiring a Senior IT Project Manager in the Columbus, OH area. The role will be hybrid, therefore the candidate must be able to go on-site 2-3 days/week in the Columbus office. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The Information Technology Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading teams of professionals in completing projects by defining time and resources requirements to meet goal dates that align to business mission, vision, priorities and goals. During the course of managing projects, the PM needs to communicate with a wide audience from technical to business team members. The PM will facilitate, lead the analysis and make recommendations while monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business-related field or the equivalent work experienceProject Management Institute Project Management Professional certification (PMI-PMP)Over five years experience with project management including how to work with deadlines and how to estimate the duration of a project.Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Dynamics AX softwareProven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.Demonstrated soft skills, including experience in facilitation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.Ability to interact with internal and external customers to interpret business requirements.Ability to understand and interact with technically-oriented team members.Ability to effectively communicate cross-organizationally and work well in a small team, fast-paced environment.A highly motivated, well-organized, self-starter desiring an opportunity to grow professionally.Must have a “can-do” attitude.Is flexible to work outside of normal business hours and to travel (15% or less of the time)Excellent virtual/phone manner and customer service skills.The ability to follow oral and written instructions.Risk management experienceAgile Software Development Lifecycle experienceSCRUM experienceDemonstrable project planning tools experienceThe successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation periodEssential Job FunctionsLeads the planning and implementation of projects assignedFacilitates the definition of project scope, goals/milestones, and deliverablesDevelops project plans by defining project tasks and resource requirementsAssembles and coordinates project staffManages project budget (understands the components of running a fiscally successful project)Manages project resource allocationPlans and schedules project timelinesCoordinates project process includingAssists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.Communicates and applies project standards.Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.Consistently delivers high-quality services to our customers.Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools- including creating and updating document libraries and lists used for tracking project and process related documents within Dynamics AX.Provides direction and support to project teamConstantly monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholdersPresents reports defining project progress, problems and solutionsImplements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputsCompletes project evaluations and assessment of results based on project objectivesAssists in identifying continuous improvement opportunities that are consistent with company strategies
