Job Description
The Sr. Product Owner, Connected Products is responsible for creating the product roadmap and defining the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall vision. A Product Owner manages dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams. They work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary. Product owners will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the product they are focused on.
Responsibilities- Develop product strategy, writing end-to-end product requirements, commercializing, and growing sales/profitability for both new and existing products in your smart/connected portfolio.
- Develop and execute on 3-year product plan conducting ongoing analysis to align timing and resources, inclusive of owning the product lifecycle management from R&D, product launch and plans for discontinued product.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure digital vision and products align within team strategy and requirements
- Works closely within team to establish each product’s business value and support messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary
- Partner with Brand Marketing to ensure alignment of product with brand plan
- Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as demos.
- Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer driven design
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of product owner/manager experience is required. Experience with B2C digital products; experience in the Smart Home/Connect Home Industry is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or Supply Chain is desired
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to facilitate agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, mainly to customer locations and trade shows
