Position Summary

Organize and lead projects and/or significant tasks or initiatives for departmental, Bank and/or System or US Treasury projects, from inception to completion, adhering to project management standards and methodologies, while facilitating interaction with vendors and stakeholders. Ensure project resources are available and managed efficiently and effectively throughout the project. Coordinate across various Agile Teams to effectively manage deliverables, Decisions, Risks and Issues having a keen eye to detail. Act as a coach and mentor for less-experienced staff when needed.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Coordinate or manage large and complex projects using the SAFe Agile framework.
  • Manage projects using project management standards and methodologies.
  • Manage multiple projects or significant concurrent efforts.
  • Develop and sustain project management artifacts and documentation.
  • Develop project plans that include all required artifacts and checkpoints.
  • Ensure cross-project dependencies are identified to establish priorities in project completion.
  • Partner with business areas to support independent verification and validation (IVV) reviews.
  • Support the program assurance functions helping advance overall program maturity.
  • Track key project milestones including issues, risks, decisions, change management, and adjusts project plans and/or resources as appropriate.
  • Define and manage metrics associated with a program.
  • Identify required resources and assembles project team.
  • Ensure early detection of risks and appropriate risk response strategy.
  • Guide issues and decisions to closure and escalates obstacles as needed.
  • Oversee or participate in program related communications.
  • Coordinate vendor relations in reference to project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop periodic updates of project status for key stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach staff on project team.
  • Provide project management consultation and guidance in support of PM efforts within the Bank.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related work experience which may include 5+ years of managing the function

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required.

Addendum as needed: Employees may be required to travel by car/air. May be required to work non-standard business hours or on-call assistance on an as-needed basis.
