Sensor Systems Engineer/Analyst
Our client is a small, established research-oriented engineering firm headquartered in Utica, NY. They are looking for a Sensor Systems Engineer/Analyst to work out of a satellite office in Dayton, OH. They focus on designing, prototyping, evaluating, testing, and fielding solutions in areas such as Radar/Sensors, Antennas, HF Sensing and Communications, Signal Processing and Algorithm Development, and Electronic Warfare. Position Responsibilities:- Evaluating sensor (Radar, EO, IR, HF, Hyperspectral) technologies
- Identifying risks and developing solutions
- Data analysis
- Responsible for supporting test activities on a research and development test program
- Modeling system and sub-system behavior
- Performing system and subsystem level test
- Conducting experiments/data collections
- Identifying technology gaps and their solutions for insertion into both fielded and developmental systems
- Define functional, performance, interface, derived, system engineering requirements, and special material requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years related experience
- Strong technical skills related to sensor technologies
- Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with sensor signal processing and algorithm development
- Sensor modeling and data analysis experience
- Experience in designing, prototyping, evaluating, testing, and fielding solutions
- Experience with identifying risks associated with technology maturation and defining and executing steps to reduce/mitigate these risks
- Strong writing and briefing skills
