Employee plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates training programs for foster/adoptive parents. Plans, develops, designs, implements, schedules and coordinates training programs for foster/adoptive parents, based on identified needs, feedback and training impact evaluations and program requests for Franklin County and the 12 surrounding counties; completes ongoing needs assessments of assigned work areas. Maintains ongoing written and verbal communication and conducts onsite visits with targeted work area as regarding resources and training development. Prepares course descriptions and publicity information quarterly for training calendar and newsletters; develops flyers/brochures to inform and to market training; develops quality assurance systems and evaluation methods to ensure the department is providing quality programs/trainings.

Monitors, evaluates trainers and training programs for assigned work areas; interviews trainers regarding specific competencies and programs ensuring for cultural sensitivity. Works closely with department directors/staff/and county foster care liaisons to ensure that the development of training and needs are being met for assigned populations; provides technical assistance and consultation to trainers such as setting up rooms and equipment and ensuring knowledge regarding workshop participants and details.

Participates on committees as needed such as the OCWTP Steering Committee and the OCWTP sub-committee Foster/Adoption/Kinship (FAK), or other relative committees. Schedules and host quarterly CORTC Public/Private Foster Care Coordinators meetings in order to assess county/agency needs, update on rules changes and networking.

Conducts or assists in training professional development product as assign, ie. UPP, CAPMIS, SACWIS mandated reporter training; completes special projects as assigned.
