Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in MASSILLON, Ohio. This role, within the manufacturing industry, offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling accounts, handling month-end responsibilities, and occasionally interacting with clients. Responsibilities: Accurately reconcile various types of accounts Carry out balance sheet reconciliations Oversee and manage general ledger operations Create and update journal entries Handle month-end close processes Utilize Microsoft Excel to aid in account management Operate on systems like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for daily tasks Occasionally communicate and interact with clients Utilize QuickBooks and SAGE for various accounting tasks Perform bank reconciliations when necessary Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar capacity within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is a must. Solid understanding and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Proficient in making journal entries and maintaining accounting records. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel for the purpose of data analysis and financial reporting. Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus. Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with other departments.
