Avery Dennison is seeking an individual to provide senior level subject matter expertise on environmental sustainability. This role will be a key contributor to the strategic direction and execution of the Company’s sustainability metrics. Work globally and cross-functionally to coordinate, align and proactively implement environmental sustainability initiatives encompassing the company’s operational footprint. Collaborate with key external partners on the company’s environmental sustainability initiatives to support strategic direction.We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about environmental/sustainability issues and has an infectious drive and enthusiasm to inspire and educate others. Strong individual contributor, effective communicator and skilled project manager with proven global experience and a steadfast capacity to work across functions and organizational bounds to advance Avery Dennison’s capabilities and reputation regarding sustainability.What you will be doing:Review and verify environmental sustainability metrics globally and for external reportingSupport implementation of energy strategy for BUs and green energy credit managementDevelop and implement data strategy to ensure complete and verifiable reportingDevelop environmental management system and policies to support EHS/Sustainability strategiesCollect and provide regional input and feedback on global environmental strategiesLead integration of Waste, Water and Air strategies into regional action plansDevelop, maintain and update global environmental standards for guidelinesSupport corporate review on state, federal and key global policies impacting environmental goalsLead cross functional collaboration with vital teams responsible for achieving environmental goals for operationsWork with the regional leadership teams to assess performance and develop improvement plansCollaborate with regional EHS leaders on identifying solutions, recommendations for waste, water and emission reduction plansProvide technical support for air emissions reporting for internal and external reporting requirementsEducate, empower and influence BUs sustainability, operations and EHS on sustainability strategy and expectations to drive ownership and accountability25% global travel as required
