One of our clients is looking for the position of

Database Administrator based on following skills: The senior SQL DBA will be required to provide the following support.
  • Provide DBA support for distributed servers in a multi-datacenter environment.
  • Monitor daily activities and performance of complex SQL environment, analyzes technical problems, recommend adjustments, creates and implements approved solutions using established tools and techniques.
  • Provide technical assistance to the application development area and co-workers about SQL design and programming.
  • Configures SQL services (e.g. security, JDBC, clusters). Plans, installs and coordinates SQL Server releases, migrations, upgrades and maintenance. Build new environments as needed to support applications.
  • Coordinates with network, IIS administrators and storage groups for SQL server based configurations.
  • Develop technical documents, project plans and tasks, interact with customers for proposed solutions.
  • Provide non-production and production support for deploying code and assist in trouble shooting and resolving application issues.
  • Support DevOp tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis, Mavin, Bitbucket, Kony Mobile, Nginx etc.)
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management team based on project/application needs.

    • Required Experience: Most current available SQL Server certification
    • At least seven (7) years experience showing hands on duties with minimum supported (currently v7) version SQL Server or higher in a multi–tier, multi-platform large (multiple hardware nodes at each level).
    • At least three (4) years experience with DevOp Tools (e.g. installing, supporting, configuring, problem determination).
    • At least one (1) years experience with IBM BPM workflow (e.g. installing, supporting, configuring, problem determination).
    • A minimum of 7 plus years experience and knowledge in supporting applications following system development life cycle.
    • 7 years Experience and knowledge in supporting applications following system development life cycle
    • 5 years Experience in database performance tuning and application SQL tuning
    • 5 years Experience in SQL Server database design
    • 5 years Experience in Microsoft SQL Server cluster installation and configuration
    • 5 year Experience in configuring and supporting “Always On” databases
    • 5 years Experience in generating database performance metrics on database usage and availability
    • 3 years Experience in data modeling and application database design
    • Carry a pager and/or cellular phone for after hours support
