Description We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant based in Findlay, Ohio, United States. This role is pivotal for our organization and involves handling various day-to-day accounting transactions, maintaining accurate records for general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Responsibilities: Implement and manage special projects and value-added strategies. Reconcile customer accounts, including invoice processing and distribution. Facilitate vendor payments, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. Monitor bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks. Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment and identify discount opportunities and stop-payment orders as needed. Prepare and analyze financial records. Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books. Process payroll and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger. Review and approve payroll taxes and governmental reporting. Assist with annual audit requirements. Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Adhere to all institutional rules of conduct, policies, procedures, and recordkeeping requirements. Promote work with cross-functional teams and across multiple departments. Requirements Possession of a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of accounting Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience and knowledge in handling General Ledger Ability to record and manage Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures Skilled in performing Cash Reconciliations Ability to handle Daily Cash Receipts effectively Expertise in Cash Applications Strong skills in Account Reconciliation Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
