Provides training and orientation to staff, students, and residents as necessary. Required:
Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent registration.
Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science Degree in related field.
Five years of laboratory bench experience as a Laboratory Technologist with a minimum of three years of experience in Hematology.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong computer skills.Preferred:

Required:

HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam and past experience performing tissue handling and dissecting/grossing prior to April 24, 1995, with documentation of tissue handling and dissecting/grossing proof from previous employers, and 10 years of recent experience as a Histology Supervisor.
Five years of laboratory bench experience as a Histotechnologist.
