Job Description

HII is seeking a Systems Engineer to serve as project engineering lead for multiple exploitation projects. The Systems Engineer will lead teams in the exploitation foreign weapon systems such as aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, aerodynamic weapons, space systems, ballistic missiles, and associated subsystems to establish their design, performance capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities. In this position you must be able to work independently and in teams.

In this position you will be supporting the Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME) Squadron of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The mission objective is to help U.S. warfighters maintain their competitive edge by enabling the execution of timely exploitation of foreign aerospace and electronic systems for FME's Global Exploitation Intelligence Group.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

  • Assist in growth of other FME expeditionary exploitation teams
  • Provide guidance, training, support, and actively participate in acquisition and exploitation of foreign threat systems
  • Ability to lead large interdisciplinary teams on multiple technical projects
  • Ability to develop test plans, analyze test data
  • Self-Motivated and goal oriented

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD
  • Requires Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance at the time of application

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity or experience with NASIC mission
