Seeking Tableau Lead Developer responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, completion and execution of all Medicaid Tableau dashboards, publishing, performing duties of Tableau site admin and conducting proof-of-concepts connecting Tableau to disparate data sources. Must be able to work independently with different databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server), and analytical/reporting tools such as PowerBI, Cognos, & SAS.   • At least 8+ years of Tableau development lead experience
  • At least 8+ years of experience using databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server
  • At least 8+ years of strong SQL development experience
  • At least 8+ years of strong experience in ETL development using MS SQL SSIS
  • 5+ years of experience in prototyping, designing dashboard mockups and presentations to customers, development artifacts, standards, and guidelines
  • Able to define, document and articulate dashboard processes and governance
  • Work on complex datasets and data analysis & data preparation tasks
  • Ability to develop reports & dashboards in QlikView or SAS visualization tools
  • Proven ability to write high quality code.
  • Experience building data sets and familiarity with PHI and PII data.
  • Expertise implementing complex ETL/ELT logic.
  • Develop and enforce strong reconciliation process.
  • Accountable for ETL/ELT design documentation.
  • Good experience in working with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Effective communication, presentation, & organizational skills.
  • Experience working with source control (such as TFS).
  • Familiar with Project Management methodologies like Waterfall and Agile
  • Ability to establish priorities & follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  • Required Education: BS/BA degree or combination of education & experience
  • Provides overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the advancement of dashboard development effort to meet business strategies and goals.
  • Must be able to support and maintain Tableau server sites under production and non-production environments.
  • Must be able to work independently with different databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server), and analytical/reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, & SAS.
  • Must be able to work independently building and supporting MS SQL Server SSIS packages for ETL purpose
  • Must be able to work independently using Oracle and MS SQL server developer tool suite
  • Understand business requirements very clearly then translate and use complex data sources that needs to be blended and joined to delivery efficient and quality dashboards
  • Involved in all aspects of the dashboard development life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Follow industry standard techniques and efficient approaches to connect Tableau with disparate data sources.
  • Mentor internal development team and promote self-service analytics to users.
  • Perform Tableau Test site admin tasks, responsible for production coordination, dashboard deployment, user management and support.
  • Conduct demo to internal and external stake holders.
  • Develop various dashboard development standards, guidance and create artifacts.
  • Delivery high quality dashboards adhering to latest trends and complete project on time and work on fast paced development cycle.
  • Participate in meetings to continuously upgrade the Functional and technical expertise.
  • Act as a lead Tableau developer to define, document and guide ODM internal ITS and business stake holders.
  • Promote and practice self-service analytics on dashboard development effort following industry standards.
