Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assumes responsibility for continuous monitoring of telemetry patterns. Consistently evaluates the displayed rate/rhythm for variations or changes from previous pattern, and maintains accurate records of telemetry information. Prepares, operates, and maintains centralized telemetry equipment and/or supplies for centralized monitoring stations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:Required:
High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Meets one of the following:
Currently a Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or any other approved issuing organization.
Experience in EKG reading and assessment with a focus on cardiac training.
Currently enrolled in a Cardiovascular Technician training program through an accredited institution (must complete the program within 1 year of hire).
Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician or Medical Assistant program.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including face-to-face, phone, and email.
Strong judgment, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
Ability to use a computer.
Scores at least 85% on a pre-employment EKG identification competency test.Preferred:

Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
