We have THREE Control Engineer positions with two of these must be based in Claremont, NC and THIRD can be based in Chicago or Ohio. This third OHIO based position requires 75% travel.

POSITION: TWO Controls Engineer (Allen Bradley PLC, Drive Controllers, Statistical Process Control, Process Optimization, Extrusion Processes)

LOCATION: Claremont, NC (ONSITE POSITION) and Ohio (travel position)

SALARY: Excellent compensation with benefits + relocation + 401K

DURATION: Full-Time position (100 % ONSITE)

DESCRIPTION:There are THREE Controls Engineer Positions:
  • ONE Senior
  • ONE Junior
  • Senior - travel position
  • Must-Haves:
    • Completed Bachelor s degree and at least 1 year of experience working with Allen Bradley PLC's and drive controllers (5 years for Senior position)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work optimally with vendors and suppliers to resolve process and component issues.
    • Good mechanical proficiency and strong verbal and written communications skills

    Nice-To-Haves:
    • 2-5 years relevant process or design controls engineering experience.
    • Proficiency in running large scale projects.
    • Knowledge of extrusion processes, Statistical Process Control methodologies and Design of Experiments for process optimization.

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:
    • This position works as a part of our controls engineering team to craft, install, program, and start up control systems, HMI s, and reporting systems for production lines.
    • Redesign, fix and repair control systems to improve efficiency and develop preventative maintenance procedures for production controls.
    • Training the maintenance personnel and supervision of vendor/installation activity, developing and coding programs for PLC s, Drives and PC s in order to control the various processes related to the manufacturing of cable and report meaningful metrics.
    • This includes design/ layout of various electrical control systems, electrical system checkout and support during installation and utilize the CAD system to craft and maintain system drawings.

    Required Qualifications:
    • A completed Bachelor s degree and at least 1 year of experience working with Allen Bradley PLC's and drive controllers
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work optimally with vendors and suppliers to resolve process and component issues.
    • Good mechanical proficiency and strong verbal and written communications skills

    Position: Controls Engineer (Controls engineering, Electrical focus, industrial controls, PLC, Sub Controls, Rockwell Automation PLC, HMI Programming, AutoCAD, Layouts)Location: (ONSITE POSITION) This position can be based at any of the following locations: Chicago , IL or Dayton , OH or Cincinnati , OH or Winchester , KY or Greenville , WI

    Salary: Excellent compensation with benefits + Relocation + Interview Travel

    Travel: Up to 75% of the time

    Duration: Full-Time position - ONSITE Position

    • 5+ years of related design, automation, integration, and project management experience including experience in areas such as PLC machine controls, servo motor drive systems, computerized vision systems, AC and DC drives, pneumatics, hydraulic, and other electromechanical equipment.
    • Will be heavy travel (75 % of the time)- must be open to that

    Nice-To-Haves Skills:
    • 4 year degree preferred or
    • 2 year degree with sub controls experience
    • or Would prefer candidate be in Dayton, OH or Chicago, IL area - but it can also be based in Cincinnati, OH, Winchester, KY and Greenville, WI.

    Job DescriptionWhile reporting to the Project/Process Engineering Manager, you will provide Engineering support to plants.
    • Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, cost estimates and financial analysis for Capital projects and general projects for the plants.
    • Prepare capital project submissions as needed.
    • Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve methods, reduce costs and to modernize production equipment.
    • Manage technical projects including installation of equipment, commissioning, product and process trials, Factory & Plant Acceptance Tests (FAT &PAT) and equipment qualifications with internal departments and outside vendors.
    • Support new equipment start-ups and ensure machinery meets budgeted performance.
    • Support the troubleshooting, adjustment and maintenance of automatic and semi-automatic production machinery including electrical and mechanical elements, PLC machine controls, HMI s, servo drive systems and vision systems.
    • Knowledge of high speed, high volume manufacturing and assembly processes. Able to use automation to drive down manufacturing costs, improve reliability or to improve consistency of manufacturing operations.
    • Experience with robotics, AGV s, machine automation, data collection and networking is beneficial.
    • Proficient with use of Rockwell Automation PLC & HMI programming software.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD software for development of layouts and electrical documentation.
    • Manage project expenses to ensure projects stay within budget. Use corporate purchasing system to generate purchase requisitions and track purchase orders.
    • Participate, as requested, in engineering meetings to assist in the evaluation of manufacturing equipment designs, tooling, and engineering methods.
    • Plan, schedule, implement and complete assigned projects as directed.
